The classic first release in the range, simply called Valentino Donna<\/a> is a pretty powdery rose scent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an initial blast of rose the perfume settled into a feminine powdery fragrance which is created through an iris note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patchouli and leather make up the base notes of the fragrance; these two really help the fragrance last for many hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the floral notes there is a vanilla which adds sweetness; the rose and vanilla mix kind of reminds me of rose Turkish Delight candy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feminine advertising campaign perfectly reflects the unequivocally girly nature of the perfume.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Valentino Donna Born In Roma <\/a>is probably the most well known of the Valentino Donna perfumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born In Roma is a quite different fragrance to the original Donna. The perfume has a strong jasmine note which is accompanied by fruity notes of blackcurrant and bergamot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vanilla is used again but its a Bourbon vanilla which is warmer and sexier than the sweet vanilla from Valentino Donna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, I think Born In Roma is a more modern and grown-up perfume. It has super lasting power which have made it a hit fragrance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d wear Born In Roma on a night out or date night, and original Donna in a more romantic setting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Valentino Donna Born In Roma Yellow Dream<\/a> is a much lighter and fresher fragrance compared to its predecessors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the yellow colour suggests, Born In Roma Yellow Dream is all about a zesty fresh lemon. This is accompanied by a rose and clean musk. I find that the lemon note brings out the fresh green notes in rose; image a rose just cut, covered in morning dew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This simple fragrance is ideal for summer and humid days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lasting power is nowhere near as good as Valentino Donna or Born In Roma but that is typical of citrus scents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
