2023 saw the launch of a new pillar fragrance from Dolce & Gabbana; Q Eau de Parfum. Q follows the launch of K by Dolce & Gabbana which is a fragrance for men (I assume the Q stands for Queen and the K stands for King). In 2024, Q Intense was released; this article explains what each smells like and the difference between them.
Dolce & Gabbana Q Eau de Parfum
Dolce & Gabbana is one of Italys biggest fashion brands and their designs are heavily inspired by Sicily. As a result, lots of their fragrances feature Sicilian Lemons and in Dolce & Gabbana Q lemon is the main note.
A soft musky cherry accompanies the lemon which overall creates a very light and airy perfume made for Sicilian summer days. Q is an Eau de Parfum but personally I find it performs like an Eau de Toilette.
Dolce & Gabbana Q is available in the US on the Dolce Gabbana website. In the UK it is available at Harrods who also ship internationally and at The Perfume Shop.
Dolce & Gabbana Q Intense
In my view Dolce & Gabbana Q Intense is much better than the original Q perfume. The perfume is stronger and performs like an Eau de Parfum should; lasting a few hours. The heliotrope is probably the most dominate fragrance note; combining with the amber creating a powdery and warm floral tone. The cherry scent is noticeable in the initial fragrance; something which wasn’t really there in the original Q Eau de Parfum.
