Chanel have two main pillar fragrances for men, with each having different variations and lots of accompanying body products. This article recommends the best Chanel fragrances for men and links to where you can get them.
Chanel Allure Homme Sport
Chanel Allure Homme Sport is my personal favourite mens fragrance from Chanel. It has a fresh Orange opening note, followed by warmer Tonka Bean and Amber, with a hint of Vanilla.
I recommend Chanel Allure Homme Sport for the day time and the office. It’s refreshing but still has presence and authority.
There is an Extreme version of Chanel Allure Homme Sport which is more peppery and slightly aromatic. The Vanilla is removed and instead warm Tonka Bean is the main base note.
Bleu De Chanel
Bleu De Chanel is an aromatic citrus and Incense fragrance which has a youthful yet classy feel to it. Fresh Grapefruit and Ginger reveal Nutmeg, Amber and Incense base notes; a relatively unusual combination which reminds me of the smell of male spa products.
Bleu De Chanel comes in an Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Parfum variations. I recommend the Eau de Parfum which has good lasting power, and the Parfum for night times.
Chanel Allure Homme
Launched in 1999, Chanel Allure Homme is the classic Chanel mens scent which has stood the test of time due to its lasting power and universal fragrance.
Chanel Allure Homme has freshness whilst still holding its power with very masculine Leather, Pepper and even Coconut notes. Despite being an Eau de Toilette (and unlike the female Chanel EDTs) the lasting power is excellent. I recommend Chanel Allure Homme for any occasion; you can wear it to the office and into the evening, with maybe just one top up it lasts all day.
