During Christmas time, or ‘The Holidays’ as it’s known in the US, we make so many memories and often the power of a particular scent; a fir tree, mulled wine, marzipan, gingerbread can evoke those cosy winter feelings. I think it’s so nice to have a fragrance that smells like Christmas and has the Christmassy scent; both to wear during the festive season but also to wear at other times to evoke those Christmas vibes. L’Artisan Parfumeur
L’Artisan Parfumeur is a niche French fragrance brand. They have two perfumes which I think are perfect for Christmas. In the US, L’Artisan Parfumeur fragrances are available at Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also find them at Harrods and Selfridges who ship internationally.
L’Artisan Parfumeur Fou d’Absinthe actually doesn’t smell like Absinthe much. Instead it’s a warm Christmas fragrance which reminds me of the smell of mulled wine on the stove. The main note is a warm Nutmeg, Cloves, Star Anais, and a Christmas tree smell from Pine and Fir fragrance notes.
The other perfect fragrance for the Holidays is L’Artisan Parfumeur Tea For Two. This perfume has notes of Cinnamon, and Gingerbread! Tea for Two transports me to the kitchen where warm Gingerbread is being taken out of the over; note of Tobacco leaf and Tea add to the depth of the fragrance and Star Anise and festive Spices perfectly top off the Christmas scent.
Parle Moi De Parfum Guimauve de Nöel 31
Parle Moi de Parfum are also a niche French fragrance brand. Their Guimauve de Nöel 31 fragrance literally means Christmas Marshmallow! I love the sweet warmth which the scent creates by using a pretty Orange Blossom to compliment the sweet Marshmallow base note.
This is a unisex fragrance so if you love Marshmallow you must try Parle Moi De Parfum Guimauve de Nöel 31.

Apple Brandy is one of By Kilian’s most popular fragrances. This unisex scent blends the warmth of Brandy with sweet Apple notes; it really reminds me of a mixture of warm mulled wine but without the spice. By Kilian Apple Brandy is definitely festive and quite sexy, I think the fruity nature of the fragrance means it works well as a female scent, and the Brandy element adds a serious element which makes it work as a male fragrance too.
Dolce & Gabanna Pour Femme Intense
A Sandalwood base mixes with Marshmallow in Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme Intense to create a fragrance which evokes that roasted marshmallow smell that is so reminiscent of Christmas and the Holiday season.
Like with Guimauve de Nöel 31, Pour Femme Intense uses Orange Blossom to compliment the sweet Marshmallow note; a pairing which works really well to create a scent with great lasting power.

Maison Margiela’s REPLICA range of perfumes aim to replicate real life scents and the memories and feeling associated with them.
REPLICA By The Fireplace is one of my favourite fragrances from their range (my article on each of their fragrances here). It evokes the warm, woody and charcoal scent of a real fireplace in the winter. We used to have a real fire in my childhood home so I can testify that it really does smell like being by the fireplace!
