Arashi No Umi
Arashi No Umi comes in this absolute beauty of a bottle, in the first whiff I get green apple, similar to DKNY Be Delicious, accompanied by fresh green floral notes. I could also smell jasmine & freesia too. Usually green apple notes can be very sharp, but its not sharp in this one at all. Its actually quite pretty, like if you just got out of shower and you want to put on something fresh and not heavy at all, that sort of perfume. Though the range is unisex, this one leans more towards female than male perfume in my opinion because of those floral notes. Overall, Arashi No Umi is a well-balanced and long-lasting scent, perfect for daytime wear!
Tu Te Calmes
Maison Marine Tu Te Calmes is spicy oriental fragrance with fresh cardamon in, fig leaf note that adds to the freshness but in an aromatic way. There’s also an unusual smell of lemon peel, the dry down is totally different from the first sniff. As the perfume settles, you can smell vetiver and other earthy notes coming through. The projection is great in this one and it feels very unisex. This could be worn all year long, I think its a very interesting and thoughtful perfume, you can tell the perfumer put a lot of thought into this.
Avant L’Orage
Avant L’Orage translates to “Before The Storm” is a quite unique unisex vanilla fragrance. It has an ambery undertone, benzoin sandalwood, tonka bean and even a hint of jasmine. The formulation is very modern, it’s not a sweet heavy sticky vanilla, rather an deep warm ambery vanilla. It’s probably too light to be a winter perfume, but it’s certainly perfect for autumns.
Bain De Midi
Bain De Midi is a white floral perfume with chiari flower, gardenia and ylang ylang. It’s a summer perfume, the ylang ylang is quite warm and not as fresh. It opens with a fresh burst of aquatic notes, reminiscent of a cool ocean breeze, creating an invigorating and refreshing introduction. Maison Matine Hazard Bazaar is a musky ambroxan perfume leaning more towards masculine perfumes that feminine. The vanilla note in there is quite heavy but not sweet at all, this one is definitely on eof the heavier and stronger ones in the range.
Into The Wild
Maison Matine Into The Wild is a green aromatic scent with notes of juniper baby and cardamom! It feels like walking into the jungle with all the lush trees. As it dry downs, I can smell hints of ginger giving it a unisex undertone. The base notes of moss and musk further reinforce the connection to nature. This would be really loved by someone who like green perfumes & oriental perfumes.
