Viktor & Rolf are probably most well known in the fragrance world for their instantly recognisable Flowerbomb perfume, which was quickly followed by the unique bow-shaped Bon Bon range. In 2022, they presented the world with another unique creation; Good Fortune, followed by Good Fortune Elixir Intense in 2023. Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune
Fundamentally, Good Fortune is all about a strong Jasmine heart note. It isn’t as strong as something like Mugler’s Alien, but its pretty good for lasting.
There is a unique Fennel and Gentiana top note which adds a fresh green vibe to the heavier Jasmine and Vanilla notes.
The base note is a Bourbon Vanilla which combines with the white floral heart to create a scent which is reminiscent of Valentino’s Voce Viva Intensa.
For me, Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune is all about the unique bottle, which really does have that fortune teller orb feel about it.
Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune Elixir Intense
With a name which includes both ‘Elixir’ and ‘Intense’ you know this is going to be a heavy fragrance; and Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune Elixir Intense doesn’t disappoint. Incense and sandalwood recreate the scent of walking into a fortune teller’s tent and create the kind of fragrance which I expected from the original given the name Good Fortune. The jasmine and vanilla of the original fragrance remain but they are not longer the stars of the show.
Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune Elixir Intense is a strong perfume with good lasting power; I recommend it for the colder months as it’s too intense for warm weather.
