2023 sees the release of a new perfume line from Dolce & Gabbanna. Named after their iconic handbag range, Devotion is a tribute to the citrus trees of the Mediterranean. Tne of the signature elements of this collection is the sacred heart motif. The heart on the perfume bottle symbolises love, devotion, and passion, and it is often embellished on their handbags with intricate embroidery, beading, or jewelled accents. This heart motif is prominently featured on many items in the collection, including handbags, shoes, and clothing.
A vanilla base of Devotion creates a sweet dry-down which combines so well we a candied lemon and orange top note which is gourmand and delicious. An orange blossom heart helps add longevity to the fragrance and supports the citrus notes. I find it quite similar to the old Dolce & Gabanna Pour Femme as well as Parfums de Marley Oriana. Personally, I love Dolce & Gabanna Devotion, I can’t stop smelling it on myself; its feminine, sweet and yet still has a fresh element. I would wear this throughout the year and any time of day so it feels universal an easy to wear.
