CK burst onto the fragrance scene in the 90s with CK One and has since released lots of versions and follow-on fragrances in the CK range. CK One and the other CK One perfumes in the range are neither male or female, on the whole it’s a unisex ‘gender neutral’ fragrance range. This article reviews each of the CK One fragrances and links to where to get them, including the discontinued ones which are still available.

CK One

The iconic 90s fragrance CK One has been a successful and universal perfume for nearly 30 years. With advertising campaigns featuring men and women (including Kate Moss) CK One was the first mass-market unisex fragrance and remains a best-selling unisex fragrance to this day.

CK One is a fresh, green Lemon perfume. It’s clean, simple, and gives you that ‘just showered’ feeling. The bottle is refillable and comes with the spray separately within the packaging, so it can be swapped with the screw lid.

CK Be

CK One was followed by CK Be which is also a unisex fragrance. CK Be is primarily a sold Lavender scent with green and musk notes supporting it.

Like CK One, CK Be is an Eau de Toilette and isn’t a strong fragrance. I recommend CK Be for cosy evenings in, or when you’re looking to relax. Whereas CK One is zesty and refreshing, for more active moments.

CK One Shock

CK One Shock For Him is a sexy Tobacco fragrance. The woody nature of Tobacco is brought out by Amber and Wood notes, alongside slightly spicy Pepper and Cardamon notes.

CK One Shock For Her is a fruity Chocolate perfume. It’s the total opposite of CK One Shock For Him; Vanilla and Blackberry make the Chocolate note girly and sweet.

CK All

CK All keeps the DNA of CK One with a fresh citrus opening note. Grapefruit Blossom and musky Jasmine follow which evoke CK Be. A hint of Amber in the base keeps CK All unisex.

CK One Gold

CK One Gold is an aromatic unisex fragrance. It’s very light and cloaks the wearing in Sage and Fig, with a hint of Vetiver and Neroli. I think CK One Gold is one of the lightest out of all the CK fragrances; best used in the summer and day time.

CK One Summer

Most year’s a limited edition CK One Summer is released. CK One Summer 2021 is still available online. This fresh take on the original CK One is aquatic and has fun notes of Watermelon and Rhubarb.

CK One Summer Daze

CK One Summer Daze was 2022’s summer release for CK One. The main note is Kumquat, but personally I think it smells like Orange. A fresh Mint note accompanies the sweet citrus vibes to create a very refreshing cocktail idea for summer days.

CK One Summer Daze can be found at Saks, Notino, and The Fragrance Shop.

CK Everyone Eau de Toilette vs Eau de Parfum

CK Everyone isn’t a replacement for CK One, but it is a modern interpretation created by the perfumer behind CK One DNA.

CK Everyone Eau de Toilette is a fresh aquatic Orange fragrance with hints of Ginger and Tea Leaves.

CK Everyone Eau de Parfum focuses on the Tea Leaf scent and adds Vetiver into the fragrance mix which makes the scent stronger and woodier. The freshness of the Orange is replaced with a warm orange which is much less noticeable than in the Eau de Toilette.

CK1 Palace

CK1 Palace accompanies 2022;s CK x Palace fashion collaboration which evokes the 90s ethos of Calvin Klein. The signature CK One citrus top note begins the fragrance, this is followed by slightly masculine Oakmoss and Sandalwood notes.
