I am often asked for recommendations for perfumes which smell like Chocolate. There are plenty of fragrances like Angel, and Black Opium which use a chocolate cocoa note in their fragrance mist, but there are relatively few fragrances which actually smell of chocolate. This article outlines the best Chocolate perfumes and links to where you can get them.

Prada Candy Night

Prada Candy Night is my top recommendation for a Chocolate perfume; it genuinely smells just like Chocolate.

The original Prada Candy is a Caramel fragrance, and so Candy Night continues the sweet gourmand theme with its Chocolate scent (it can also be layered with the original to create a Caramel Chocolate scent).

I think Prada Candy Night is being discontinued but it’s currently available at Macy’s, Walmart, Ulta, Notino, Fragrance Direct, Feel Unique, and in Australia at Fresh Fragrances.

Clinique My Happy Cocoa & Cashmere

The Clinique My Happy fragrances are a collection of travel sized perfumes which can be layered or worn on their own. They come in a rainbow of colours and the purple one is a soft Chocolate perfume.

There is a sweet Vanilla warmth to the Chocolate fragrance which is noticeable at first but fades to present a more musky Chocolate tone.

Cacharel Yes I Am Delicious

Cacharel Yes I Am Delicious is a sweet, gourmand fragrance which evokes the feeling of walking into a chocolate shop! Cocoa and Dark Chocolate are combined with Hazelnut to create a strong Chocolate scent. This is underpinned by a hint of Cardamon and a floral Orange Blossom heart note.

The Cacharel Yes I Am perfumes all come in unique lipstick shaped bottles and can usually be found at very affordable prices; check out my article on the range here.

H&M Choc

For an affordable chocolate perfume H&M have a fragrance called ‘Choc’ which mimics the smell of chocolate. Their range of fragrances focus on a single perfume ingredient, are unisex and are super affordable. H&M Choc is available in the USUKFranceDE, AT, DK, HU, NL, NO, FI, PO, SE, and the rest of the world.
