Mandorlo di Sicilia
Often found in the Mediterranean region, almonds are beautifully incorporated into this delicious scent alongside complimentary notes of vanilla and gorgeous peach. This fragrance is the warmest in the Blue Mediterraneo range is so mesmerising that I used to spray it on myself a lot when I worked in a perfume shop! It creates a comforting and cosy warmth with a nutty sweetness that I find quite sexy!
Arancia di Capri
Arancia by Acqua di Parma is a warm, orange fragrance which is my personal favourite in the Blu Mediteraneo range. Fresh top notes of orange, Sicilian mandarin, bergamot alongside heart notes of cardamom and petitgrain, really evoke the feeling of a ripe and juicy orange. You can almost see the orange tress of Capri when you spray this fragrance; I find it addictive and super refreshing.
Fico di Amalfi
The scent of figs from the Amalfi Coast are the star of this stunning fragrance by Acqua di Parma. The whole scent is reminiscent of summer in Italy; enjoying a fig under the shade of the a tree surrounded by the coastal warmth. The fragrance is also accompanied by a fresh citrus and bergamot which add to the fruity nature of the scent. The feeling of the scent is uplifting and unisex and I like how it’s sweet but still fresh for the heat.
Mirto di Panarea
Mirto di Panarea opens with green notes of myrtle (an aromatic shrub which grows widely in Italy) and lemon, accompanied by a heart of fresh sea notes and cedar. In my view this fragrance is one of the most neutral, clean and green fragrances from this Blue Mediterraneo rang.
Bergamotto di Calabria
Bergamotto di Calabria by Acqua di Parma is a citrus haven that opens with notes of bergamot and other fresh citrus tones. A ginger note adds to the sharp freshness of the scent which really is bursting with uplifting tones. It gives me a feeling of sipping lemonade when it is humid out. I love how layered it is, not merely a citrus but also a fragrance that has a depth of woody and musky notes that prolong the lasting power.
Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura
Despite having the same ingredients of the original Bergamotto di Calabria, La Spugnatura, which translates to sponge in Italian, is developing using a traditional scent extraction method which makes a drastic change to the scent. The fragrance note of bergamot is more accentuated and there is a slight undertone of fennel. I adore the decoration on the bottle which I think is really classy. The fragrance itself feels stronger than the original and more aromatic; a scent which could be worn year round.
Arancia La Spugnatura
Inspired by the sun-kissed groves of Sicily, Arancia La Spugnatura evokes the sweet and tangy aroma of freshly picked oranges.
The fragrance opens with bright and zesty top notes of juicy orange and bergamot, instantly awakening the senses with their lively citrus burst. As the fragrance develops, a subtle floral heart of jasmine and rosemary adds a delicate touch, providing a nuanced complexity to the composition.
The base notes of Arancia La Spugnatura create a warm and inviting foundation. Cedarwood and musk add a touch of sophistication, while the aromatic essence of petitgrain enhances the overall citrusy accord, evoking the scent of orange trees swaying in the Mediterranean breeze.
Ginepro di Sardegna (Discontinued)
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Ginepro di Sardegna is a very aromatic fragrance that’s all about the local juniper that abounds in the Mediterranean. This is probably a more typical masculine fragrance but it can be loved by anyone. It’s a warm, nutty and woody fragrance with notes of allspice and nutmeg alongside the juniper berry.
Cedro di Taormina (Discontinued)
This fragrance is the perfect balance of fresh and warm notes, making it just right for daily use. Unlike Ginepro di Sardegna, it does not have the spicy and aromatic undertones, in fact it has more of a clean wood tone. These natural notes are brought to life by the citrus, basil and lavender notes that complement the cedar beautifully.
Chinotto di Liguria (Discontinued)
Chinotto di Liguria is a fragrance by Acqua di Parma that is a celebration of the Chinotto tree which is unique to the Mediterranean regions, a lovely mellow citrus. It has notes of Chinotto, Mandarin orange, rosemary and patchouli. I find it a beautiful melody of scents, each class playing both main character and supporting role which makes the whole feel quite stunning.
Cipresso di Toscana (Discontinued)
Walking through a cypress forest in summer is what this fragrance is, encapsulated in a bottle. An absolute delight of a perfume, which has a host of various ingredients but the cypress is the most dominant of them all. I really love how Cipresso di Toscana doesn’t let the cypress note dominate; instead its a perfect blend of aromatic and fresh scents with notes like basil, rosemary, grapefruit and cardamom.
Foglie di Basilico (Discontinued)
This fragrance may not be as well known as the others from the house but it is definitely a fantastic wear. Having a most distinct basil note makes this stand apart from the pack. It has a lemony feel to it and lasts for a great time. The scent gradually leans into a more aquatic floral as it lingers.
Quercia Marina (Discontinued)
Perhaps the most masculine unisex perfume from the range is Quercia Marina which is an aquatic, aromatic and green scent with notes of mint, seaweed and cedar. This perfume is slightly herbal in appeal and would be absolutely perfect for someone who prefers an aqua and woody fragrance.
