The original Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum has been a great success for Guerlain since its launch in 2017.

Mon Guerlain is a very classy aromatic scent which focuses on a warm and gentle Lavender perfume note. There is also a lot of Tahitian Vanilla, powdery Iris and Jasmine notes which both help the fragrance last.

The perfume is pretty good for lasting and after a few hours it settles into a woody aromatic fragrance where the Lavender mixes with Liquorish and Patchouli base notes creating a soft feminine scent.

I recommend Mon Guerlain for the day time; its appropriate for any occasion from the office to a girls lunch. I don’t find it particularly sexy and would instead recommend Mon Guerlain Intense for the evening.

Mon Guerlain Sensuelle Eau de Parfum was released just after the original Mon Guerlain and has now been discontinued.

It has the same fragrance notes in as the original but there is more emphasis on the Vanilla and Tonka Bean undertones.

Mon Guerlain Eau de Toilette is a much lighter and fresher fragrance than the Eau de Parfum.

The Vanilla and Lavender of the original Mon Guerlain are accompanied by citrus notes of Mandarin Orange, Bergamot and Orange Blossom.

This is a light and airy fragrance, which lasts about an hour or so. Now, Guerlain have two other Eau de Toilettes in their range; Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose and Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet so its no surprise that this first Eau de Toilette has been discontinued. It is still available here though.

Mon Guerlain Florale is one of those fragrances which is exactly ‘what it says on the tin’. The perfume takes the original notes from Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum and emphasis the floral elements.

The scent is super floral, with white floral notes, Iris, Jasmine, and a fresh Peony which is noticeable in the initial minutes.

The signature Vanilla and Lavender are in the mix but the floral notes are allowed to be the stars of the show.

Mon Guerlain Florale is an Eau de Parfum so it has medium lasting power and I find settles to become a slightly powdery floral perfume.

Mon Guerlain Intense is one of the most popular and highly rated perfumes in the Mon Guerlain range.

The fragrance emphasises the Vanilla and Tonka Bean notes of the original. This combines with a noticeable Liquorish undertone and a Patchouli base which lasts for hours.

The Lavender note in Mon Guerlain Intense is also very strong and noticeable, making this a sweet aromatic scent like the original Eau de Parfum.

Mon Guerlain Intense is definitely the strongest version of Mon Guerlain and has good longevity and sillage.

Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose Eau de Toilette is effectively a replacement for the original Mon Guerlain Eau de Toilette.

It’s primarily a citrus fragrance at first, then after a few seconds a fresh watery Rose scent comes through though it is slightly masked by a Lavender note.

This is combined with a Neroli which combines with the citrus notes.

There is a hint of Vanilla in the base but after the citrus and Rose notes have disappeared the scent is pretty much done; being an Eau de Toilette the scent has weak lasting power.

I was pleased to see Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose Eau de Parfum released, as I did feel the original Bloom of Rose Eau de Toilette was too light.

Instead of lots of citrus notes, this version has a Pear fragrance note which lets Rose be the dominant note. There is almost an oriental feel to the Turkish and Bulgarian Rose in the scent.

Again, Vanilla is included in the base but isn’t majorly noticeable.

Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose Eau de Parfum is definitely a fragrance for rose fans.

Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet is a fresh and innocent interpretation of Mon Guerlain.

The Lavender is accompanied by lots of floral Peony and Jasmine notes. What I particularly like about Sparkling Bouquet is the use of a Pear note which creates a fruity yet fresh top note.

Even though this is an Eau de Parfum I find it performs more like an Eau de Toilette. The lasting power isn’t as good as the other Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum fragrances.

2023 saw the release of Mon Guerlain L’Essence. This fragrance is a simple and slightly tropical interpretation of the original scent. The signature Lavender is accompanied by Tahitian Vanilla and a tropical Frangipani flower.
