Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb really is a fragrance ‘bomb’. I’m always so impressed with the lasting power and projection of Flowerbomb. It’s definitely one of the strongest mainstream designer perfumes on the market.

Flowerbomb is a strong feminine Patchouli fragrance. The Patchouli is accompanied by pretty Orchid, Rose, Jasmine, Osmanthus, Tea and African Orange Flower perfume notes which mix together to create the unique signature Flowerbomb scent.

Flowerbomb is certainly good value for money. I always get compliments when wearing it, and I feel confident that I can reply on it to last.

I use the Flowerbomb Hand Cream and its incredibly well fragranced; you could use this to top-up the scent during the day or even wear it on its own for scent which lasts up to an hour.

Flowerbomb Tiger Lily

Flowerbomb Tiger Lily has a fruity element which we haven’t seen previous versions. The mango top note is really noticeable at first but it fades to reveal the signature Flowerbomb DNA which runs through every scent. The coconut note mixes nicely with this to add a tropical vibe. I recommend Flowerbomb Tiger Lily for fans of the original fragrance who are looking for something for the summer time. The lasting power is great so it can be relied upon to last for most of the day.

Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid has a hot pink bottle which is attention-grabbing and fun.

The scent is quite different to the original Flowerbomb. Instead of the Patchouli floral bouquet, Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid keeps only the Orchid note from the original perfume.

The Orchid is accompanied by Vanilla Bean, and a fruity Peach note. These additions mean Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid is sweeter than Flowerbomb, although it does keep that signature Flowerbomb Orchid vibe.

Flowerbomb Midnight

Flowerbomb Midnight is a fruity berry blast. There is a strong fruity Blackcurrant note which is very noticeable in the first few minutes.

The Blackcurrant is combined with a Peony note (two of my favourite fragrance note combinations!) which creates a fresh, fruity and yet slightly sexy feel to the perfume which justifies the ‘midnight’ name.

The signature Flowerbomb scent comes through after the initial Blackcurrant note of Flowerbomb Midnight. This signature floral scent is complimented with a Night Blooming Jasmine which adds an element of mystery to the floral heart.

Flowerbomb Dew

Flowerbomb Dew is a lighter and softer version of the original Flowerbomb. Although it is an Eau de Parfum, I don’t find it as strong as Flowerbomb.

As the name suggests, there is a dewy note which combined with pear, creates a sensitive and slightly aquatic opening.

Flowerbomb Dew then becomes soft and powdery; with notes like Iris, Musk, Cashmere, Heliotrope, Rose and Musk Mallow the fragrance is more subtle and ‘close’ than the original Flowerbomb.

Flowerbomb Nectar

Flowerbomb Nectar is a really interesting fragrance. Its use of Gunpowder is very unusual and for me, makes Flowerbomb Nectar really fun to wear and genuinely does have a ‘firework’ feel.

Some of my favourite perfume notes are used in the floral heart; Osmanthus and Orange Blossom are combined with a fruity Cassis note and the signature Flowerbomb floral heart to create a strong, long-lasting and modern perfume.

The base has Patchouli, Vanilla and Tonka Bean which create a warm, and slightly sweet undertone.

Flowerbomb Nectar is super for lasting and I definitely recommend it for anyone who loves the original.

Flowerbomb In The Sky

Flowerbomb In The Sky is totally different to the other fragrances in the Flowerbomb range.

This is a light citrus perfume which performs like an Eau de Toilette, despite being an Eau de Parfum.

I don’t get the signature Flowerbomb floral orchid DNA. Instead the scent is all about the Mandarin Orange, Grapefruit and Bergamot followed by a slightly floral undertone.

On my skin Flowerbomb In the Sky only lasted a matter of minutes.

Flowerbomb Bloom

Flowerbomb Bloom is a fresher version of the original scent. For people who feel Flowerbomb can be a bit too strong for them, I definitely recommend trying Flowerbom Bloom.

The signature Flowerbomb DNA is the main scent, but this is accompanied by a fresh mountain air note which make the scent less intense.

The lasting power isn’t affected by this adjustment to the notes, it’s just that the scent which lasts is a fresher version of Flowerbomb.

Flowerbomb Eau De Toilette

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Toilette was a predecessor to Flowerbomb Bloom. It also provides a lighter and fresher vibe to the signature Flowerbomb scent.

A citrus Orange note is used to create a juicy and fresh opening which is followed by the same Flowerbomb scent as the original.

Although this is an Eau de Toilette, the performance is still good and can last for many hours.

Flowerbomb FAQs

I think Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb is so popular because its an instantly recognisable fragrance which people can smell on you. The lasting power and projection are very good, making Flowerbomb great value for money.

What age group is Flowerbomb for?

Flowerbomb tends to be worn by women in their 20s and 30s. It has a slightly sexy patchouli undertone and so I often smell it in bars around London. I think the original Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum might be a bit too heavy for wearing to the office, its definitely a weekend fragrance in my view!

Is Flowerbomb a day or night fragrance?

Personally, I think Flowerbomb is a night fragrance because it’s the kind of scent people can really smell on you. For the day time I recommend a lighter version of Flowerbomb like Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid or Flowerbomb Midnight.

Is Flowerbomb a sweet smell?

Some people may find Flowerbomb to smell sweet. In my view, its mainly a patchouli and floral scent with some sweetness. Flowerbomb Nectar is sweeter than the original Flowerbomb because it has fruity peach notes it’s fragrance mix.

Is Flowerbomb for men or women?

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb is marketed as a women’s fragrance. I think Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum and Flowerbomb Dew could be gender neutral fragrances though they do still have feminine elements so I’m not sure they could be classed as unisex.

As Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb reaches its 18th year in production the brand has announced the new face for their fragrance; Emily Ratajkowski.

This choice represents a shift to a more sexy image for Flowerbomb. I think this works because I do find Flowerbomb to be a great date night fragrance and so it makes sense to highlight this feature of the perfume.
