This article outlines the best Blackcurrant and Cassis perfumes for any budget and links to where to get them. Cassis is the French word for Blackcurrant, some perfumes refer to their fragrance note as Blackcurrant or Cassis but essentially they’re referring to the same fruity scent.

Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose
One of my all-time favourite perfumes, Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose is a gorgeous syrupy Cassis and Raspberry perfume with a feminine Rose heart. It’s good for lasting and can often be found reduced because it’s been out for quite a few years now. It’s certainly my top recommendation for a Cassis fragrance though it is quite intense.
Giorgio Armani Si Intense
Giorgio Armani Si Intense released in 2021 is another fantastic Cassis fragrance. The lasting power of the Si perfumes is great and I think Si Intense is the best for lasting in the range. I often get compliments on this when I wear it; the Blackcurrant combines with Rose and Patchouli to create a slightly warmer scent than Trésor Midnight Rose.
Lalique Amethyst has a lot of Blackcurrant and forest fruits in it which make it a super fruity perfume. There are also Pepper and Rose notes which come through after the initial Blackcurrant burst. The Pepper adds a touch of spice which isn’t typically seen in other fruity perfumes.
Flowerbomb Midnight has quite a fresh fruity Blackcurrant top note which is kept light with feminine notes of Pomegranate and Peony. Night Blooming Jasmine is the floral heart note which follows the Blackcurrant; this isn’t as heavy as a typical Jasmine perfume and means that Flowerbomb Midnight isn’t as intense as the original Flowerbomb.

Cacharel Amor Amor
My friend used to wear Cacharel Amor Amor through High School and she used to be famous for the beautifully fruity fragrance which would follow her around the corridors. Amor Amor is a great affordable Blackcurrant, Mandarin and Vanilla perfume; the lasting power is great which also makes it very good value for money.
Escada Magnetism was released in 2003 and has grown to become a favourite of Blackcurrant fragrance lowers. The Blackcurrant is combined with a sweet Caramel and Vanilla which makes Escada Magnetism one of the sweetest Blackcurrant perfume. Although it isn’t sold everywhere, it can still be found online usually at great prices.
Byredo Pulp is a fun, fruity perfume. Blackcurrant Red Apple and Fig create an autumnal fruity blend which reveals an earthy and woody base. It reminds me of the scent of a Blackcurrant pie in the oven on a chilly autumn day. Byredo fragrances tend to be quite expensive and although Pulp is an Eau de Parfum it will need to be topped-up throughout the day.
