Scherzo

Miller Harris Scherzo is one of the brand’s best selling perfumes. This unique fragrance is a feminine Oud which combines a sweet Rose, Olibanum, and Patchouli. Scherzo is a strong Eau de Parfum which has good lasting power.

Myrica Muse

The latest edition to the Miller Harris women’s fragrances is Myrica Muse. This sexy evening fragrance is probably the sweetest in the range; a Vanilla base note combines with Strawberry and Rum to create a boozy feel to the perfume. Rose, Patchouli and Pink Pepper dominate though to create an interesting scent combination; I imagine a classy lady walking through the streets of Paris wearing this on a winter’s evening.

Lumière Dorée

Lumière Dorée is a tribute to Orange Blossom; it’s made up of Bitter Orange, Neroli, Petitgrain, and Bergamot with a Jasmine heart. After the initial green citrus burst an Amber base begins to reveal itself; a combination we don’t often see. I think Miller Harris Lumière Dorée is a great unisex citrus fragrance which also has the depth of character and lasting power of a good quality niche fragrance.

Rose Silence

Miller Harris Rose Silence is a classic Rose fragrance. A pure English Rose is the main note accompanied by a slightly fruity Blackcurrant note and a Patchouli which adds depth. I find Rose Silence to be good for lasting and would recommend it to any Rose perfume lover.

Tea Tonique

Tea Tonique is one of Miller Harris’s best selling fragrances. The fragrance opens with a refreshing Lemon note, followed by a classic Tea leaf scent which is made ‘grassy’ through the use of a Mate fragrance note. Tea Tonique then reveals a slightly spicy Nutmeg note which is unexpected and creates a unique fragrance which feel unisex and very wearable.

Cœur de Jardin

Cœur de Jardin is another very unique fragrance. At first I get a boozy Pear note which is strong and reminiscent of the scent of Pear Drop candies. There are then a number of different fragrance notes which come through; Rose, Jasmine, Tuberose, Patchouli, Moss, Orris and Amber. As the fragrance develops these different notes each come to the forefront making the fragrance very changeable and interesting.

Poirier d’un Soir

Miller Harris Poirier d’un Soir (which translates to a Pear Tree at Night) is another boozy Pear fragrance but this time it’s also spicy with a woody musk base. A Rum fragrance note creates the boozy vibes and makes the scent feel unisex. I recommend Poirier d’un Soir for the evenings (I’m not sure you’d want to smell of Rum during the day!).

Peau Santal

Don’t be fooled by Peau Santal’s delicate musky pink bottle, this is a heavy amber perfume with long lasting power.

Miller Harris Peau Santal is a unisex Balmy fragrance which combines Olibanum, with plenty of Saffron and Amber. Of course, it also features lots of Sandalwood, hence Santal in the name.

Peau Santal is a fragrance for fans of strong spicy Amber fragrances; I recommend it for the winter months in particular.

Secret Gardenia

Secret Gardenia is one of my personal favourite fragrances from Miller Harris. As you’d expect, Gardenia is the main note; a feminine, slightly green floral scent which has a sparkling and aquatic quality to it.

The delicate Gardenia is supported by Jasmine and Violet which help the fragrance last. Miller Harris Secret Gardenia has good lasting power and I recommend it for any Gardenia fans, I think it’s also a good dupe of the now discontinued Penhaligon’s Bluebell.

Powdered Veil

Miller Harris Powdered Veil reminds me of a classic English fragrance that you’d expect a classy lady from the 1930s to be wearing. Pink Pepper and Geranium open the fragrance which soon evolves into a warm Amber, Cashmere and Patchouli scent which lingers on the clothes giving off a feminine, powdery vibe.

Violet Ida

Violet Ida is another Powdery perfume from Miller Harris. Here, Iris and Heliotrope create the strong powdered floral heart, accompanied by a slightly Vanilla base and aromatic Carrot Seed note.

Violet Ida doesn’t actually have any Violet’s in it, instead this is a fragrance for Iris and Heliotrope fans.

Rêverie de Bergamote

Rêverie loosely translates to ‘a sense of being pleasantly lost in ones thoughts’. Miller Harris Rêverie de Bergamote is a world of aromatic citrus. Bergamot is indeed a key note, as is lots of Orange, Lavender, Vetiver and Herbal notes like Rosemary. This is the type of fragrance which smells like an expensive Spa; calming, and comfortably complex.

Rêverie de Bergamote is unisex and could be worn by anyone who likes fresh aromatic scents.

LOST In The City

A few years back I went to the Miller Harris store in London for a fragrance consultation. I walked away with LOST In The City which is a unique combination of Rhubarb, aromatic Geranium, Angelica and a hint of Earl Grey Tea. It’s a refreshing green fragrance which evokes the scent of a city garden.

DANCE Amongst The Lace

DANCE Amongst The Lace also uses Geranium but in this fragrance it takes a much more sharp green tone. Lemon and Lime top notes hit you immediately, followed by Mint, Angelica and Fennel. As the fragrance develops, DANCE Amongst The Lace settles into an Oakmoss and Vetiver base which has a hint of Myrrh.

La Feuille

Miller Harris La Feuille is a very green fragrance. It uses an unusual Tomato Leaf note, combined with Galbanum to create a scent which reminds me of my back garden when I was a girl. It’s a very ‘English’ green scent; clean and quite strong, this is another Miller Harris perfume for green fragrance fans.

La Fumée Alexandrie

La Fumée Alexandrie is inspired by the ancient city of Alexandria. It’s a strong composition of Turkish Rose, Incense and Oud which is impossible to miss. This is not a fragrance for the faint hearted! If you’re looking for a good quality unisex Oud which lasts then La Fumée Alexandrie is a good option.

Leather Rouge

Miller Harris Leather Rouge is a tribute to the sexy scent of Leather; reminiscent of a biker’s jacket, I imagine this fragrance being worn by an exciting adventurer who travels on a fast motorbike.

The Leather is supported by warm Amber, Saffron and a hint of Black Pepper. This is a slightly Raspberry top note but this is by no means a fruity fragrance.

Le Cèdre

As the name suggests Le Cèdre is a fragrance devoted to the Cedar fragrance note. This clean, green, woody fragrance is used regularly as a base note in men’s fragrance and often in women’s fragrance too. There are hints of a spicy incense too which add a slightly fiery tone to the Cedar.

Oud Éclat

Oud Éclat translates rough to mean Bright Oud. The heavy Oud note is balmy and nutty with Leather tones and even a slightly sugary feel to it. I think this is the strongest Oud fragrance from Miller Harris and is perfect for lovers of Oud.

Feuilles de Tabac

Feuilles de Tabac (Tobacco Leaves) brings out the green side of the Tobacco Leaf with aromatic notes of Pine and Sage. This masculine combination is lifted with some spicy notes which also add a freshness; ideal for the day time.

Vetiver Insolent

Vetiver Insolent is all about Vetiver; this green and slightly woody note has been a staple in men’s fragrance for decades and here it is celebrated as the star of the show. Black Pepper and Cardamon add a spicy aroma to the sharp Vetiver which keep it masculine.

Étui Noir

Étui Noir (Black Case) is a heavy Leather fragrance made for evenings in my view. Incense and Amber create a serious and heavy undertone to the fragrance which means you don’t need to spray much at all! I think Étui Noir would be a great option for a man on a date night.

L’Eau Magnetic

L’Eau Magnetic goes back to the citrus roots of Miller Harris. Sharp and fresh Citrus and Petitgrain are followed by Cedar and Tobacco to create a masculine summer fragrance which would work well for during the day or at the office.
