Creed is a really old fragrance brand; founded in 1760 it’s still run by the Creed family having been handed down through the family for generations. Creed has been the perfumer of Royalty a number of the times, with some perfumes being created for specific Royal requests. Creed make men’s, unisex and women’s fragrances; the female fragrances come in a triangular shaped bottle which makes them stand out from the rest of the range. This article reviews all the Creed women’s perfumes and links to where you can buy them.

Creed is available at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdales in the US. In the UK & Europe Creed is sold at Notino, House of Fraser, Selfridges, John Lewis and Harrods.

Wind Flowers

The latest release from Creed is Wind Flowers, which comes in a new style of bottle not seen before. Wind Flowers is in my view, Creed’s answer to the best-selling Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. It’s a slightly musky, refreshing white floral fragrance; Jasmine, Tuberose and Orange Blossom create a classical yet modern perfume. Praline, Sandalwood and Iris add depth and warmth to the dry-down which evolves over the first hour, leaving the scent to linger for three to four hours.

Aventus For Her

Creed’s best selling fragrance for men is Aventus, so it made sense for them to launch Aventus For Her in 2016. The perfume is very fresh and lighter than most other Creed fragrances. There are lots of fruity notes in Aventus For Her; Apple, Lemon, Blackcurrant and Peach which are very noticeable at first. It then develops into a slightly floral musky fragrance with some hints of the initial Lemon top note.

Love In White

Creed Love In White is a soapy white floral which I find people either love or hate. It’s a very strong perfume which lingers on the skin and clothes all day; so you need to love the scent to wear it. After a Mandarin top note Narcissus, Magnolia and Iris are revealed which have a musky feel to them. An unusual Rice fragrance note follows which is really where the perfume splits opinion. Some people fine the Rice note to be warm and comforting, others a bit odd for a female scent.

Love In White For Summer

In 2018 a new version of Love In White was released. Creed Love In White For Summer has a fresh Bergamot and Apple top note with slightly less of the musky floral heart notes than the original version. The Rice note remains

Love In Black

Creed Love In Black is the ultimate Palmer Violet perfume. It’s a strong powdery Violet and Iris fragrance with a hint of Clove. It reminds me of a stronger version of Guerlain’s Insolence.

Love in Black is dark, intense and feminine in a ‘boss lady’ type of way; certainly a perfume not for the faint hearted.

Spring Flower

Creed Spring Flowers is a fruity floral fragrance which is probably one of the more ‘ordinary’ mass-market scents in the Creed fragrance range.

It opens with fresh fruity notes of Apple, Melon and Peach which soon reveal a musky floral heart of Jasmine and Rose. After a while it’s the Jasmine note which comes to dominate the perfume.

If you’re looking for your first Creed fragrance then Spring Flowers could be a good entry point.

Acqua Fiorentina

Creed Acqua Fiorentina is like a stronger version of Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue. Fresh Apple and Lemon notes create a sharp summer scent that has a hint of green Cedar and feminine Rose. Despite being stronger than Light Blue, I still find that Acqua Fiorentina doesn’t last that long which is unusual for a Creed perfume.

Fleurissimo

Fleurissimo is a classic floral scent which takes you back to the days of old Hollywood. It’s a bouquet of Rose, Violet, Tuberose and Iris with an Ambergris base. This floral combination isn’t one we see a lot in the 21st century and as a result Fleurissimo feels very traditional.

Creed Fleurissimo was famously worn by Grace Kelly.

Fleurs De Gardenia

Creed Fleurs De Gardenia is another classic floral scent. Modern Gardenia scents tend to be very light and airy, whereas Fleurs De Gardenia uses Lily Of The Valley, Galbanum and Jasmine to add more traditional floral notes to the mix. Galbanum in particular is noticeable to me, it’s quite a wild floral scent with lots of green notes in it. I think because of this note Fleurs De Gardenia divides people; I think it’s one for fans of green floral perfumes.

Fantasia de Fleurs

Creed Fantasia de Fleurs is a deep and rich Rose perfume which reveals an Iris and Ambergris undertone as the fragrance develops. This is probably one of the longest-lasting and heaviest florals available on the market.

Royal Princess Oud

Royal Princess Oud is Creed’s Oud perfume for women. Feminine floral notes of Rose, Violet and Iris accompany the deep Oud which immediately establishes Creed Royal Princess Oud as a female perfume. A Patchouli base really comes through after a while, while the Oud is strong throughout the life of the fragrance. Royal Princess Oud is heavy and long-lasting.

Angelique Encens

Creed Angelique Encens is a spicey incense perfume which is exclusive to Creed boutiques. Cinnamon, Pepper and Sandalwood accompany the oriental incense note to which add an edible and cosy feel to the fragrance. Creed Angelique Encens is very strong and lasts all day!
