Honey is not a commonly used fragrance note but it’s certainly one I get asked about a lot. A warm, sweet Honey base note can add a comforting feeling to a perfume which is more subtle than Vanilla, but sweeter than Amber. This article outlines the best Honey perfumes and where to get them.

Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal
The Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal fragrance range consists of five perfumes; three of which have a strong Honey fragrance note. The original Scandal Eau de Parfum is a combination of Honey and Orange notes (including Orange Blossom) which make for a sweet but very feminine fragrance.
Scandal By Night is deeper and warmer, with Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Patchouli and Cherry combining with the Honey to create a more sexy evening scent.
Finally, Scandal A Paris is a more subtle combination of Pear and Honey, alongside a hint of Jasmine. I recommend Scandal A Paris for the day time (it’s an Eau de Toilette) it’s relatively light compared to the rest of the range. I think Scandal A Paris is discontinued now.
Elie Saab Le Parfum
The Elie Saab Le Parfum range is one of my favourite perfume collections and one I recommend a lot. The original Elie Saab Le Parfum Eau de Parfum is an incredibly classy perfume which combines a sparkling Orange Blossom with a Honey base note.
For some reason Elie Saab perfumes can be hard to find in the US but they do have it at Walmart. In the UK & Europe I recommend All Beauty as they often have it on offer.
Marc Jacobs Honey
Marc Jacobs did have a perfume called Honey which had a fragrance dedicated to Honey. It’s quite sweet with a fruity Peach note alongside the Honey.
Although Marc Jacobs Honey is discontinued its still available in the UK on Amazon, The Fragrance Shop, and Fragrance Direct. In the US it’s available at Walmart and Amazon.
Killian Light My Fire
Killian is a niche fragrance brand who create some amazingly long lasting fragrances. Killian Light my Fire is a unisex Honey perfume which is sexy and mysterious. Tobacco, Cumin and Patchouli add a smoky depth to Light My Fire which combines with the sweet Honey to create a long lasting date-night fragrance.
Rituals of Ayurveda
The Rituals range of fragranced body products and home fragrances are beautifully presented collections which are perfect for gifting (and treating yourself!). They’re also great for layering with your existing perfumes to help bring out certain notes. The Rituals of Ayurveda uses Honey and Rose to create a luxurious, sweet, feminine scent which would combine well with any of the fragrances in this article.
Armani Code
The iconic Armani Code is a perfume which we don’t hear much about these days, but despite being reformulated slightly over the years, it’s still a great perfume which I highly recommend.
Armani Code uses Honey in the base of the fragrance to add warmth. It’s combined with Orange and Orange Blossom (similar to Scandal) which add a fresh opening note which develops to reveal the Honey scent.
Ellis Brooklyn Bee
Bee by Ellis Brooklyn is a linear and straight forward warm honey fragrance. A sweet chocolate and rum in the dry down. The bottle is so yellow and cute which gives a very spring vibe. Overall, I find Ellis Brooklyn Bee to be a calming honey perfume.
