YSL Mon Paris Eau de Parfum
YSL Mon Paris is one of my favourite perfumes of all time. It’s a perfect combination or my taste and great for lasting.
The top notes are a fruity Strawberry, Raspberry, Pear and Tangerine (all my favourite fruit notes!). These are very much what the first 10-20 seconds of the scent are all about.
Then a Peony and Jasmine floral heart emerges, and alongside Orange Blossom and Patchouli, they help YSL Mon Paris last and last.
For me, YSL Mon Paris is feminine yet sexy, young yet sophisticated. I love it!
YSL Mon Paris Eau de Toilette
YSL Mon Paris Eau de Toilette is a less concentrated version of the original. The notes are the same (except the Strawberry is replaced with Blackberry).
I find the Peony note is more prominent and the scent feels sweeter and lighter. The Patchouli and white floral notes aren’t as dominant so after a few hours the scent has pretty much gone.
I recommend YSL Mon Paris Eau de Toilette for fans of the original who are looking for something lighter for hot weather.
YSL Mon Paris Couture
YSL Mon Paris Couture is a citrus-floral perfume. The scent is defined by a fresh Grapefruit, Litchi and Raspberry top note.
The Peony of the original Mon Paris remains in the heart alongside Rose. However, there isn’t any Jasmine and the Patchouli is much less noticeable.
The scent is less sweet that the original and has a cashmere musky undertone which provides lasting power.
YSL Mon Paris Couture Eau de Parfum is a rare citrus scent which actually has lasting power.
YSL Mon Paris Florale
As the name suggests, YSL Mon Paris Florale is the most floral scent in the range. The Peony is very much the star of the show, alongside Rose and a white floral bouquet which includes the Orange Blossom and Jasmine from the original YSL Mon Paris.
Again, the base is more of a musky cashmere than a Patchouli which lets the floral heart notes dominate.
I find YSL Mon Paris Florale to be quite an innocent Eau de Parfum and one that could be suited to a younger wearer or anyone who loves floral scents.
YSL Mon Paris Intensement
YSL Mon Paris Intensement is my second favourite in the range after the original.
The main difference between Intensement and the original is the addition of a strong Rose perfume note.
Reminiscent of Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming (my article on the entire Miss Dior range), the scent is a fruity Raspberry and Blackurrant Rose with a Patchouli base.
If you like the the original YSL Mon Paris then you’ll like this version. I wear the Intensement version for evenings as I think its a bit stronger and bit more sexy.
It’s amazing for lasting and projection and I often get compliments when I wear it.
YSL Mon Paris Lumière
2022 saw the release of a new Eau de Toilette; YSL Mon Paris Lumière. This creation is fresh, fruity and floral with the signature YSL Mon Paris DNA.
The main notes are Lotus, Lemon and a Datura flower (for some reasons this combination smells like peach to me!). After the first 30 seconds this fruity freshness revealed the Rose, Jasmine and Patchouli of the original YSL Mon Paris.
I think YSL Mon Paris Lumière is great for fans of the original who are looking for something lighter for summer.
