Wonderlust
On the first spritz of Michael Kors Wonderlust, I sense a hint of pink pepper which dissipated into a very soft and powdery Amber fragrance. It has a feminine scent but in a streamlined, modern way. In addition I also notice Jasmine and Geranium floral notes which create a classic and everyday feeling to the fragrance. A milky almond note finishes of the fragrance giving it an ethereal, boho, golden hour vibe. Despite being an Eau de Parfum, personally I find it doesn’t last long on my skin but I think it’s perfect for that transition period between summer and autumn when you don’t want a fragrance that’s too heavy.
Wonderlust Sensual Essence
Initially, I was really drawn by the slightly oriental feel of Wonderlust Sensual Essence; I love the smokey undertones of the fragrance which definitely live up to the ‘sensual’ name.
A blend of fresh Peony, Sour Cherry, Pink Pepper and Pear with Jasmine, Orange Blossom, are underpinned by a really lovely Cashmere wood and Amber. Michael Kors Wonderlust Sensual Essence isn’t really like any other fragrance I can think of; its soft, sweet, and yet tangy, fruity and musky all at the same time!
Wonderlust Sensual Essence is much heavier than others from the range; I prefer it to the original and recommend it for the evenings and nights of late autumn.
Wonderlust Eau Fresh
Wonderlust Eau Fresh smells similar to the original Wanderlust, it essentially just has some added Freesia. Opening notes of fresh Pomelo, Apple and Bergamot are followed by Jasmine, Lily and Peony at the heart. It’s a light fragrance which quickly fades into a musky woody scent.
If you like the original but find it too overpowering then you can give this flanker a try, it’s comparatively lighter and more innocent in scent. Super fresh & citrusy but sadly doesn’t last long. I think it’s ideal for hot days as it has a refreshing vibe just like its name!
Wonderlust Sublime
Wonderlust Sublime is my favourite from the Wonderlust perfume range because its essentially ‘vacation’ in a bottle!
The fragrance transports me to a tropical island. I am smitten by the exquisite blend of Amber, Orange Blossom with a creamy tropical Tiare Flower, a rare combination. The fragrance is complex yet very interesting. It makes me feel exotic; perfect for summertime.
Wonderlust Eau De Voyage
A spritz of Wonderlust Eau De Voyage is an escape into the dreamy fantasy of a seaside rendezvous. It’s super fresh and light with a salty and floral heart. Feminine Pink Pepper, calming Lavender and Cardamom notes blend with the signature Wanderlust Orange Blossom and Jasmine.
Overall Michael Kors Wonderlust Eau De Voyage has a breezy and calming effect on me. It’s soft and feminine and yet complex and mature compared to the original Wanderlust which feels a bit generic to me. I definitely recommend this over the original, and particularly as a clean and refreshing day time scent.
