Thierry Mugler Angel is a classic and iconic 90s perfume. The thick glass star shaped bottle is one of my favourite perfume bottles of all time.

Just as the Angel bottle is unique, the scent is equally unique; Thierry Mugler Angel is a sweet Patchouli fragrance. Cotton Candy, Praline, Caramel, Chocolate, Coconut and Plum create an almost sickly sweet, warm scent. These notes are all supported by lots of Patchouli and plenty of other floral heart notes.

Thierry Mugler Angel certainly divides people; you either love it or hate it! However, either way nobody can deny this perfume isn’t amazing for lasting. In my view its one of the strongest mainstream designer perfumes available.

Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Toilette is a simpler, and slightly fresher take on the original Angel scent. It’s been reformulated a few times and used to come in a shooting star bottle. In 2019 it was re-released in the same bottle as the original, but with a lighter slightly pink hue.

Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Toilette focuses on the Praline and Patchouli of the original, so it’s not as sweet. There is also a sharp Green Apple and a fresh Peony note which lighten the profile significantly.

Don’t be fooled by the Eau de Toilette label, this fragrance is stronger than most other perfume’s Eau de Parfums!

Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucrée is one of the sweetest perfumes ever! Imagine a caramel meringue desert, with a side of berry sorbet.

These are literally the perfume notes in Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucrée. Fans of Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy would love this!

Thierry Mugler Angel Fruity Fair like Eau Sucrée is a super sweet limited edition.

Vanilla Whipped Cream and Redcurrant are the main notes in Angel Fruity Fair alongside the signature Angel Patchouli base.

Thierry Mugler Angel Fruity Fair is one of my favourite adverts for Angel, I love the red, white and blue fairground they created, with the perfume as the star of the show.

There have been two versions of Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Croisiere but only the 2020 one is still available.

I find Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Croisiere fairly similar to Angel Eau de Toilette. It’s a lighter version of the signature Angel scent, but with a fruity Fig note added. At first you get a lot of fresh and fruity Fig, but in the dry-down Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Croisiere becomes just like Angel Eau de Toilette; Praline and Patchouli. I love the multicoloured bottle, even though its discontinued it’s still available here.

Thierry Mugler Angel Iced Star is my personal favourite of all the different version of Angel. I think it smells exactly like a piña colada!

Pineapple and Coconut are the main notes here. Its unusual to find a Pineapple perfume so I think this has been very popular. Coconut is a great perfume note for summer and lasts very well.

Thierry Mugler Angel Iced Star is one of the few versions of Angel which don’t really have the signature Angel scent. It does have the great longevity though!

Thierry Mugler Angel Muse is one of the best Hazelnut perfumes. The signature lasting power of the Patchouli Angel base is a key part of Angel Muse, but rather than Praline it’s mixed with Hazelnut (it smells like Nutella!). Angel Muse is less overpowering than the original Angel, but it’s still great for lasting. I recommend it for the winter when you want a comforting scent.

Thierry Mugler Angel Muse Eau de Toilette was a lighter, fruiter take on Muse Eau de Parfum.

A Passionfruit and citrus note was added, as well as a Chocolate, Caramel and woody Vetiver which dilute the Hazelnut.

Unfortunately Thierry Mugler Angel Muse Eau de Toilette is discontinued but still available here.

Thierry Mugler Angel Nova is totally different to the original Angel scent. There is no Patchouli or Praline. Instead Thierry Mugler Angel Nova is a Rose perfume with lots of sharp and slightly sour Lychee and Raspberry.

I find Nova very similar to Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl and Parfums de Marly Delina.

Whats great about Thierry Mugler Angel Nova is the lasting power; it’s rare to find a fresh fruity scent which lasts a long time. The bottle is also super cool!

Thierry Mugler Angel Nova Eau de Toilette is lighter and less Rose than the original Nova. The Raspberry note has been removed so the top notes become Litchi and a citrus Bergamot note. A pretty Magnolia has been added in which adds a subtle delicate feel.

I recommend Thierry Mugler Angel Nova Eau de Toilette for humid weather when the rose of Angel Nova Eau de Parfum would be too much.

2023 sees a new addition to the Angel perfume line; Angel Elixir. The signature Patchouli note which made Angel famous isn’t present in Angel Elixir, instead an Amber and sweet Sandalwood create the base notes.

Vanilla is also combined with Jasmine and Orange Blossom to create a type of scent which is typical of new releases in the 2020s; it reminds me a bit of Valentino Voce Viva.
