Lady Gaga used to have her own fragrance called Fame, but this was discontinued a few years ago and instead in 2020 she because the face of Valentino Voce Viva, and then Voce Via Intensa in 2021.
The advertising campaign is focused on the phrase ‘My Voice, My Strength’ which I think Lady Gaga embodies perfectly. Voce Viva translates from Italian to ‘living voice’ or something similar. Essentially I think the phrase is all about having your own voice and living through it.
Valentino Voce Viva Eau de Parfum
In 2020 we saw Lady Gaga launch Valentino Voce Viva Eau de Parfum. This original Voce Viva is a simple but effective vanilla and orange blossom.
The orange notes here are refreshing, but the vanilla undertone adds a sweetness which is warm and adds a slightly evocative feel to the scent.
Personally, I’d say Voce Viva is a good scent for the daytime, and then in the evening I’d go for Voce Viva Intensa.
Valentino Voce Viva Intensa
Valentino Voce Viva Intensa is indeed a more intense perfume than the original. A Bourbon vanilla is used instead of a sweet vanilla and this gives the fragrance a more night-time feel.
The jasmine and orange blossom in the heart are sophisticated and classy. I feel like Valentino Voce Viva Intensa is a superior perfume to the original because its more unusual, lasts longer and has this gorgeous classy floral heart.
I’d happily wear this perfume during the day and night.
