Lotus is an elegant fragrance note which I often turn to on hot summer days. Lotus is often used to create either an ozonic or aquatic feel to a fragrance because of the airy, almost watery nature of the Lotus scent. This article outlines the best Lotus perfumes for every budget and links to where you can get them.

Table of Contents

Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline

Definitely my personal favourite Lotus perfume; Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline perfectly captures the fresh, aquatic tones of a lake filled with Lotus flowers. It feels tropical and exotic yet clean and very classy. I recommend Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline a lot of professional occasions and the office because its very inoffensive but also very elegant.

SOKI LONDON Aphrodite

When I set out to create my second fragrance I wanted to create an exotic perfume which makes the wearer feel they’re on a tropical Island. SOKI LONDON Aphrodite uses fresh lotus flower to create this feeling, alongside a mango top note and fragrant palm leaves. An aquatic coconut base note finishes the fragrance which is vegan and cruelty-free. In my view, the lasting power of Aphrodite Eau de Parfum is excellent, mainly due to the high 30% concentration of fragrance oil that has been used.

Kenzo L’Eau par Kenzo Hyper Wave

One of the newer Kenzo fragrances; L’Eau par Kenzo use Lotus in their female fragrance to evoke the fresh feeling of the ocean. The latest edition Kenzo L’Eau par Kenzo Hyper Wave is the most readily available and can usually be found at a good price too. This perfume is a good option for a simple, everyday Lotus perfume.

Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey

The original Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey pour femme is an incredibly fresh Lotus and Lily fragrance which has the best lasting power in a fresh fragrance that I’ve ever come across. Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey really does last all day. It feels airy and ozonic whilst bringing out the aquatic nature of the white florals. This is definitely the strongest Lotus perfume available.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus

For an affordable Lotus perfume I recommend Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus. The fresh aromatic Green Tea range has had so many limited editions (my review of the entire range). The Lotus version is super fresh mixing the signature Green Tea note with Lotus and a feminine Cherry Blossom.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus is discontinued but still available in the US at Walmart, and in the UK/Europe at NotinoAmazonDirect Cosmetics, and AllBeauty.

Versace Bright Crystal

Versace Bright Crystal is a really great fragrance which I use a lot. It has a dominant Peony note alongside it’s Lotus fragrance note. Versace Bright Crystal reminds me of a cleaner version of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. The Lotus note adds a crispness and slightly aquatic feel to the Peony which keeps it refreshing; ideal for summer.

Commodity Fragrances Rain

Commodity is a niche fragrance brand; one of their most popular fragrances is called Rain. The scent of the rain (petrichor) is created in this fragrance with Lotus and Lemon Verbena; it feels very fresh like a smell of a light drizzle.

Use code SOKI for 10% off at Commodity.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Skies

The limited edition Marc Jacobs Daisy Skies uses Lotus to evoke the smell of the ocean, alongside Seaweed and Mineral notes. Daisy Skies feels quite green and natural while keeping itself feminine with the floral Lotus note.
