However, Marshmallow is becoming more and more popular in women’s perfumery, especially when combined with Orange Blossom. In a perfume Marshmallow can smell sugary but it can also add a comforting feeling to a fragrance. Personally, I tend to turn to perfumes with Marshmallow in during the winter months because the scent feels calming, feminine and cosy. When I think of Marshmallow perfumes the first fragrance which comes to mind is By Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy. One of the niche brand’s best sellers, Love Don’t Be Shy is a sophisticated and warm scent which combines Caramel and Sugar to recreate the scent of Marshmallow. It also has feminine Orange Blossom and Jasmine notes in its heart which prevent the fragrance from being too sweet. I think By Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy is a really cosy fragrance which can be comforting during the day and sexy in the evening.
Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme
Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme and Pour Femme Intense are great Marshmallow perfumes which you can often find discounted simply due to the fact that they’ve been out quite a while. In Pour Femme, the Marshmallow is combined with Orange Blossom and Raspberry, whereas in the slightly stronger Intense version the sweet Raspberry is removed, which lets the Marshmallow come through even more.
I tend to reach for Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme every winter because it’s cosy and can be reliable upon to last.
Commodity Milk
Commodity Milk is my top recommendation for a niche Marshmallow fragrance. As the name suggests, Milk has a milky, buttery quality which calms the Marshmallow fragrance note. There is a hint of a green, freshness to Commodity Milk which keeps it relatively unisex. It isn’t as sweet or heavy as the other perfumes in this list, so I recommend it if you’re looking for a summer Marshmallow scent or you live in a warmer climate.

Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy
Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy is an affordable Marshmallow perfume which literally smells like walking into a candy store. Vanilla and Whipped Cream accompany the sugary Marshmallow note to create one of the ultimate sweet and gourmand fragrances. There is a slightly fruity Blackcurrant note in Sweet Like Candy, but really the scent is all about that Marshmallow!
Pepe Jeans for Her
The women’s Pepe Jeans fragrances all come in a unique cocktail glass shaped perfume bottle which certainly makes them stand out. The original Pepe Jeans for Her scent has a hint of Vodka in it, but the majority of the fragrance is a sweet Marshmallow and Vanilla Almond which feels warm and sexy.

Parfums de Marly Oriana
After Parfums de Marly’s successful Delina rose fragrance, their Oriana is probably the most well-know. It’s hot pink perfume bottle helps it stand out and I was certainly intrigued when I first smelt it. Oriana combines Marshmallow with Orange notes; these include Orange Blossom but Oriana doesn’t have the floral undertone which Dolce & Gabanna Pour Femme and By Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy have. Instead its a straight-up sweet Orange with lingering Marshmallow and Whipped Cream undertones. I find Oriana sexy and unique enough to justify its price tag.
Ellis Brooklyn Sweet
Ellis Brooklyn is a niche fragrance brand based in the US. Their fragrance tends to be quite simple and calming, with Ellis Brooklyn Sweet being the most sugary in the collection.
Marshmallow combines with Ambrette Musk and Pear to create a comforting sweet fragrance which feels very homely. I don’t find Ellis Brooklyn Sweet to be particularly strong so I recommend it for cosy nights in or for the office.
