Prada Candy

Since its release in 2011 Prada Candy has continued to sell well. The fragrance is a great caramel scent which is sweet but also powdery and elegant.

It attracted a lot of attention when released because of its iconic bottle design which evokes the 1960s. Prada Candy is great for lasting and probably the best caramel perfume on the market. It is also very similar to Viktor & Rolf BonBon.

Prada Candy L’eau

Prada Candy L’eau has been discontinued though can still be found online here.

The fragrance is lighter being an Eau de Toilette though it still focuses on the feminine Caramel perfume note.

There is a hint of oriental spice in the fragrance which emerges as it starts the fades. This is derived from a Benzoin note in the base and a hint of citrus.

Prada Candy Florale

Despite the name Prada Candy Florale, I find that this fragrance isn’t primarily a floral scent.

Prada Candy Florale’s main note is actually a Limoncello note which is combined with a honey-caramel vibes to create sweet and warm Lemon scent.

Although the signature Prada Candy caramel vibe is still present, Prada Candy Florale doesn’t have the lasting power of the original probably because its an Eau de Toilette.

Prada Candy Kiss

Prada Candy Kiss is an Orange Blossom Musk scent. Fans of Narciso Rodriguez For her and other similar comforting musc scent would probably like Prada Candy Kiss.

It doesn’t have the caramel or the DNA scent of the original fragrance, this is a fragrance in its own right.

The Orange Blossom is feminine and slightly sweet, kind of like an orange boiled sweet. Combined with plenty of Musk and the fact that Prada Candy Kiss is an Eau de Parfum, the fragrance does have lasting power but in a subtle and classy way.

I’d recommend layering Prada Candy Kiss with the original Prada Candy in the summer to add that orange citrus vibe.

Prada Candy Gloss

Prada Candy Gloss is my personal favourite fragrance in the Prada Candy perfume range. I love perfumes which smell like lipstick and makeup!

The name ‘gloss’ is definitely accurate for this perfume, it really does smell like lip gloss. This scent is created through Cherry, Cassis and Almond notes.

I think Prada Candy Gloss is super feminine and sexy but could definitely be worn in the day time.

The lasting power is medium for Prada Candy Gloss, an even stronger and similar perfume I’d recommend is Juliette Has a Gun Lipstick Fever (my article on it here).

Perfumes that smell like makeup

Prada Candy Sugar Pop

Prada Candy Sugar Pop is one of the lightest perfumes in the Prada Candy range. I’d also say it’s one of the ‘youngest’ fragrances.

Initially there is a super fresh Bergamot and fruity note which feels very summery. The scent then has a kind of weak peachy caramel.

Personally, I’d only recommend Prada Candy Sugar Pop if you’re looking for something light, perhaps for humid weather.

Prada Candy Night

In my view, Prada Candy Night is the best example of an affordable and effective chocolate perfume.

The perfume genuinely does smell just like chocolate; as if you’ve just eaten a ton of chocolate and now smell like it!

There is a Tonka Bean and Vanilla note in here with a hint of feminine Iris, but really its all about the chocolate. There isn’t any of the original Carmel scent but it would layer perfectly with Prada Candy for a caramel-chocolate vibe!

Prada Candy Night lasts really well, and has great projection.
