Discover the Legacy: Lalique’s Rich Heritage in Perfumery

To truly appreciate Lalique perfumes, one must understand the brand’s storied history. Founded by René Lalique in 1888, the Maison Lalique quickly gained recognition for its exquisite crystal designs, characterized by meticulous craftsmanship and innovative techniques. With a commitment to blending art and luxury, Lalique soon expanded its creative horizons to embrace the world of fragrances, infusing their crystal creations with alluring scents.

Lalique Soleil

Lalique Soliel was launched in 2015, it comes in a gorgeous glass perfume bottle which is inspired by an “Explosion Of Sun”. The main fragrance notes are a fresh pear followed by an orange and almond. There is also a milky, jasmine note that helps with longevity and is also what gives the perfume a really classy vibe. The silage is really good, it’s quite unusual for citrus notes to stay this long but this one very much lasts hours. Overall, this perfume is a fresh orange with white floral scent which is perfect for summer; it really is “Sunshine in a bottle”.

Lalique Soleil Vibrant

Soleil Vibrant is my favourite Lalique fragrance. The scent has a sparkling quality to it which derives from a ginger top note and another synthetic ingredient which is proven to stimulate the happiness part of the brain!

The heart of the fragrances a modern orange blossom, jasmine and vanilla combination with a hint of saffron. I find the lasting power of Lalique Soleil Vibrant excellent, so I wear it year round as a day time scent.

Lalique Satine

Lalique Satine came out in 2013 and is one of the sexiest fragrances in the Lalique collection. This is a sexy vanilla and tonka bean perfume with some woody and jasmine notes but predominantly I get a a powdery vanilla scent. There is also a hint of pink pepper in there. Unfortunately, the silage and longevity is not that great.

Lalique Rêve d’infini

Lalique Reve D’infini is a woody floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2015, it feels very feminine with light notes of lychee and peach. The heart notes of jasmine, musk and rose, add some depth but the lychee makes it fresher and probably a bit more modern that the rest of the collection.

Perles De Lalique

Perles De Lalique is a strong patchouli perfume with hints of rose. This is very well liked by fans of patchouli scents. It also has a lot of mossy notes in it like oakmoss, vetiver; scents which help the fragrance feel quite unisex. The combination of patchouli with so many green, mossy scents is reminiscent of Chanel No 19.

Lalique Nilang

Another quite popular perfume from the Lalique collection, Nilang was launched in 2011. This is also a patchouli perfume but it has some fun sweet notes like melon, peach, and blueberry. The dry down note brings together amber, vanilla, praline, sandalwood, patchouli and musk. This combination creates a quite complex perfume in my opinion, but nonetheless lovely in its usage of retro perfume notes.

Lalique Nilang is discontinued but can still be found on eBay.

Living Lalique

Living Lalique was launched in 2015 and is now discontinued. This one was definitely one of the most fancy, expensive perfumes in their collection. The base notes are vetiver and cashmere, which combine with an unusual nutmeg note. There is a creamy sandalwood and tonka bean in there too.

Lalique Le Parfum

Lalique Le Parfum is a vanilla perfume that comes in a beautiful square bottle. It’s a deep, strong vanilla so if you love vanilla, and you want to be draped in vanilla, then this one’s for you! It also has some tonka beans, some slightly green notes like wood, patchouli, and a jasmine heart. Fans of Dior Hypnotic Poison will like Lalique Le Parfum.

Lalique Eau de Parfum

The original Lalique perfume comes in a beautiful sleek, long bottle. The star of the show in this fragrance is jasmine; a fragrance note we see Lalique use a lot in their perfumes. There are also fresh pear top notes, along with a creamy woody and vanilla base. Lalique Eau de Parfum came out in 1992  and it is exactly like the fragrances of that era. It doesn’t really smell like anything that is released nowadays, perhaps with the exception of the Gucci Bloom perfumes. This is really traditional scent.

L’Amour Lalique

L’Amour Lalique is a classic white floral perfume that really embodies the Lalique brand. The main notes are gardenia, tuberose, neroli, and jasmine. If you like strong white florals then this one would be right up your alley! It has good lasting power and can be found at very reasonable prices online so it’s good value for money too.

Lalique Azalée

In my view Lalique Azaleè is the brand’s most summery perfume. The bottle looks a lot more fun and less serious than some of the other bottles in the collection. Peach is the star of the show here but it still has traditional floral notes like patchouli and gardenia. I find that the peach makes it a little bit more lighthearted than the other perfumes in the collection; it’s fruity, slightly sweet and perfect for vacations.

Lalique Amethyst

Lalique’s Amethyst is all about the berries! It has notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, followed by the classic rose and vanilla note that you will find in most of the Lalique fragrances. The heart of the perfume is musk, helping the perfume last longer and to create a depth which makes Amethyst much more than a simple fruity perfume . If you love berry fragrances then this one is all of them in one big giant glass bottle!

Lalique Amethyst Exquise

Amethyst Exquise is another version of the Amethyst perfume. This one has raspberries in it, making it a bit fresher and a bit sweeter. There is also an orchid note in the mix. I find Amethyst Exquise is slightly softer than the original version and leans slightly more floral.

Lalique Amethyst Eclat

Lalique Amethyst Eclat also has raspberries in it with blackcurrant and blackberry, but it also has a lot of floral notes at the heart – rose, peony, musk and magnolia. This one is a lot more floral than the other versions but all three still have the berry note as the star of the show.
