Affordable, High-Street brand Superdrug have launched a series of Body Sprays, Eau de Toilettes and accompanying body products. The Vegan and Cruelty-free range, called Layering Lab is marketed as a collection of fragrances which can be combined and layered to create your own unique scent, however, many of the fragrances in the range are dupes for famous Designer perfumes. This article outlines the best of the Superdrug Layering Lab dupes and how close they are to the perfumes they’re good substitutes for.

Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom – Mugler Alien Dupe
The Layering Lab Blossom range is one of the strongest in the range and I think it’s also the most popular. Blossom is dupe for Thierry Mugler’s Alien; the intense Jasmine fragrance which comes in a purple alien bottle. The Alien body products can be quite pricey and so using the Layering Lab Blossom products to compliment your Alien perfume will save lots of money!

Superdrug Layering Lab Charm – Lancôme Idôle Dupe
Lancôme Idôle is a pretty Rose fragrance which has a fresh Pear top note. Layering Lab Charm is very close to Idôle; close enough to be used as a dupe in my view. I think Charm Body Mist would be great to use as a fragrance top-up throughout the day. Idôle has great lasting power so using a Body Mist to refresh the scent should work. There isn’t an Eau de Toilette version of Lancôme Idôle, so Charm could be used for hot summer days when the perfume could be too heavy.

Superdrug Layering Lab Enchant – Mugler Angel Dupe
Angel is the other famous Thierry Mugler perfume alongside Alien. Superdrug have recreated the signature Angel scent with their Layering Lab Enchant; sweet Praline and warm Patchouli make the Angel scent instantly recognisable. I think Enchant is very close to Angel and could definitely be used alongside it.

Superdrug Layering Lab Fresh – DKNY Be Delicious Dupe
As the name suggests, Layering Lab Fresh is indeed an uplifting, light scent characterised by a Green Apple fragrance note. It close to the Apple scent of DKNY Be Delicious and can certainly be used to compliment it.

Superdrug Layering Lab Exotic – YSL Black Opium Dupe
YSL Black Opium is a worldwide best selling perfume; it has recognisable Orange Blossom and Coffee notes which are strong and sexy.
Personally, I don’t find Layering Lab Exotic to be a dupe for YSL Black Opium. It has some similarities, and I think if you like Black Opium you’ll also like Exotic, but it isn’t a replacement.

Superdrug Layering Lab Sorbet – Viktor & Rolf BonBon Dupe
Viktor & Rolf Bonbon is a Caramel and Orange Blossom scent, very similar to Prada Candy. Layering Lab Sorbet has the sweetness of the Orange Blossom but I don’t get the deeper Caramel notes which Bonbon has.

Superdrug Layering Lab Sweetie – La Belle Dupe
Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle is a simple Vanilla fragrance and Layering Lab Sweetie is a sweet Vanilla fragrance. The two fragrances can certainly be worn together and are complimentary but I don’t see Sweetie as a dupe for La Belle.

Superdrug Layering Lab Paradise – Paco Rabanne Olympéa
Paco Rabanne Olympéa is a salty floral Vanilla scent which has been well captured in Layering Lab Paradise. I know lots of people use Paradise to layer with or use instead of their Olympéa fragrance. I think Paradise is close to being a dupe.
